Mortgage Company terminate statements to insolvency?

In: Mortgage Lending

4 Aug 2010

I’m into bankruptcy because of a divorce and job loss. The trustee asked a recent mortgage statement. I do not receive paper statements, but they will receive by e-mail. I went online and print statements could not access it, so I called and was told they could not send a copy of a statement because it look like they were trying to collect a debt. (I’m not late on my mortgage). I ask for May and June statements. The trustee is demanding the paper. Suggestions?

See if the credit report shows you the balance. Explain what the mortgage company said, and ask whether the credit report is good enough.

“Common Sense” – plaintiff has no lawyer. One lawyer had filed the case without a mortgage statement.
