If you are still financially responsible for the mortgage?

I pay the mortgage on my house, but my husband is now deceased. My name was never on the mortgage, but in deed and title.

Do I pay even more?

Even if your name on the title, you died through probate court after your husband? Each state has its own laws and certification requirements.

You should contact a probate lawyer in your state to find out whether you need to go through the registration under the laws of your state.

If you plan to stay in and keep the house someone will continue to pay the mortgage payments each month. cause you to fail in the monthly mortgage payments, the creditor would take the necessary steps to ensure that justice to protect the property.

This could initiate the lender to foreclose against your husband, with the house and leave no room for you and your children to stay if you have any.
