Refinancing Home Mortgage
My husband and I are in a property that interests abandoned. We have done our research. The wife died in 2007 and is still the legal owner of the house. Although they are family no one has paid taxes since she died. Neighbors say the man wants nothing to do with home and away games. I have the names of the owner mortgage, but can not find a working phone number for them. My question is, how can this property? And should I wait until it is excluded because the sooner i go to the best one I live in New York and the house has already been 3 winters without support.
First, the mortgage holder will not talk to you even if you find a number, because you are not a part of the mortgage. If there is a mortgage, it’s unusual, they have not filed for foreclosure after 3 years. I suggest you check public records and name of the owner, you can check whether the foreclosure was filed. Also check with the collector. If tax is not paid when tax certificates were sold and probably may be the holder of a certificate of taxes can force a sale for taxes. Perhaps the man filed a forwarding address. Send a letter to him in the house and to the front of the envelope: Address correction requested – Do Not Forward. If he made a forwarding address, the letter will be sent to you with the new address, but after three years it is likely expired.
This is about mortgage information questions.
