American living in Switzerland: is the interest in a mortgage tax deductible?

Greetings! I am a U.S. citizen living in Switzerland, I lived here for almost six years. I own a house in the U.S., and I’m renting. I have to pay a monthly interest, plus the mortgage. Now my question: Tax-deductible interest or not, because it is a burden? Thank you!

Mortgage interest is an effort in Appendix E of your tax return.
